Zombies Exist! Romney Contemplating Run for Senate

So, let’s see, the last time he ran for office he was beat by a community organizer.  Then when President Trump was the R nominee Romney tried to sink him.  He lives again!  Zombie Romney, TURD.

From breitbart.com dated 6/12/2017 by Adam Shaw entitled, “Mitt 6.0? Latest Mitt Romney Appearance Stokes Speculation of Another Run”

mitt-romney-brains

Failed 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney offered lukewarm praise for President Trump over the weekend at his annual E2 summit — an appearance that included some rumblings of possibly yet another run for office from the former Massachusetts governor.
The annual summit in Utah, attracting wealthy Romney donors, political elites and business leaders, saw Romney declare that he and Trump are “not as far apart as I feared early on,” according to Utah’s KUER radio.

He reportedly pointed to Trump’s appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and Trump’s pro-business economic policies as areas where the two agree. He also agreed with Trump’s approach to NATO. Romney had been widely rumored to be in contention for the position of Secretary of State — but Trump eventually went with Rex Tillerson.

In a Q&A, he called it “encouraging” that he had been considered for the position.

“I didn’t believe for a minute I could tell him what to do on any of those things, but I thought that that kind of openness was very encouraging,” Romney said. “And if he was willing to have me in that position, I would be anxious to serve because I love the country.

Yet the summit also raised the possibility that Romney is on maneuvers for a future run himself. According to Politico, in a closed-door appearance Friday, former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden floated the idea that Romney should run again — this time for the Senate.

Politico reported that Romney, who has previously spoken to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) about succeeding Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), merely smiled in response to the remark as the audience applauded.

Should Romney run again, it would mark the latest in a long line of attempts to seek high office. He challenged Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy for his Massachusetts Senate seat in 1994, before running for and winning the Massachusetts gubernatorial race in 2002.

In 2008, Romney ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination, being beaten by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), and lost to President Barack Obama after winning the nomination in 2012. He also considered running for the 2016 nomination, before deciding against it. However, he gave a speech in which he condemned Trump as “a phony, a fraud” before later allowing himself to be considered to be Trump’s Secretary of State.

Should he run for Senate in the future, it would mark the sixth time he has either run for office or seriously considered it.

Multiple Romney advisers told Politico that while a run remained unlikely, he was not yet prepared to close the door on it.

If you think they’re going to give you your country back without a fight, you’re sadly mistaken

Steve Bannon is absolutely right.  The way the media and Dems are besieging DT feels like a coup in progress.  DT’s right, “Fight, fight, fight!”  MAGA!

From breitbart.com by Penny Starr dated 5/18/2017 entitled, “GOP: Steve Bannon Is Right About The Fight To Save America“:

Steve Bannon by Gage Skidmore.jpg

The Republican National Committee sent out a fund-raising email asking for assistance on President Donald Trump’s “Drain the Swamp” agenda.
The email notes the ongoing battle against a hostile press while offering words of wisdom from a top Trump adviser, Steve Bannon.

“You already knew the media is out to get us,” the email said. It continues:

But sadly it’s not just the fake news — there are people within our own unelected bureaucracy that want to sabotage President Trump and our entire America First movement.

Steve Bannon was right when he said, “If you think they’re going to give you your country back without a fight, you’re sadly mistaken.”

“Every day is going to be a fight,” Bannon said. “That is the promise of Donald Trump.”

The email points out that the people opposed to Trump and his policies do not want to put America first.

“They want it to be Special Interests first to enrich themselves all while the citizens of our country remain an afterthought,” the email said.

“We have no choice but to completely DRAIN THE SWAMP,” the email said, noting that Trump is “already started cleaning house.”

The email concludes: “But every day will be an uphill battle — and we need to be prepared to go into the trenches to FIGHT BACK.”

No Hope In Trump; No Hope In DC
Published: Thursday, April 27, 2017  Chuck Baldwin: The Pros and Cons of Voting for Rand Paul | Opinion ...
At this point, people who are still holding out hope that Donald Trump is going to drain the swamp and save America are delusional. In less than 100 days, Trump has taken America to the precipice of World War III. He has filled his administration with Goldman Sachs banksters, CFR globalists, New World Order Zionists, and warmongers. Trump refuses to prosecute Hillary Clinton for egregious crimes against our country, but he is vowing to prosecute Julian Assange, a man whose “crime” is publishing the truth he receives from whistleblowers about the criminal conduct of the U.S. government. Plus, Assange isn’t even an American. He is an Australian. What jurisdictional authority does President Trump have to arrest and prosecute a citizen of another country who has committed no crime in the United States? None! And if all of that is not bad enough, Donald Trump killed more innocent men, women, and children last month than Syria, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and China combined.

See this report:

More Than 1,000 Civilians Reportedly Killed By U.S.-Led Airstrikes As Trump Expands War On Terror

And this one:

Law Of War? Civilian Deaths In US Strikes In Syria, Iraq Soar Under Trump

No, Donald Trump is not going to drain the swamp; he has completely immersed himself and his administration in the swamp–just like every President of recent memory before him. And every 100 days of his administration from this day forward will only reconfirm this obvious reality.

At some point, the people who thought that Donald Trump was an outsider and “anti-establishment”–and the ones who continue to sacrifice their principles defending him in the forlorn hope that they are going to ride his coattails to glory–will be forced to awaken to the stark reality that either Donald Trump was totally disingenuous from the beginning or he has already capitulated to the swamp creatures ensconced in Washington, D.C. Either way, there is absolutely no hope in Donald Trump. And neither is there any hope in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C., is totally and thoroughly corrupt. It is run by bloodthirsty, conscienceless subhumans who will stop at nothing until they bring Armageddon upon the entire world. DC is nothing more than a coven of perverted, putrid, parasitic, pathetic, pompous, pretentious, prideful, pathological purveyors of global pestilence.

How long will freedom-loving Americans continue to believe the empty promises of phony politicians? How long will they continue living in the fantasy that somehow Washington, D.C., is going to see the error of its ways, repent, and return the nation to constitutional government? How long will they continue to look the other way while the swamp creatures in Washington, D.C., corrupt the minds and hearts of their children in these institutions of propaganda called public schools? How long will they continue to allow the swamp creatures in Washington, D.C., and their bottom-feeding serpent buddies at the Federal Reserve and on Wall Street demolish sound money principles and destroy a free market economic system? How long, folks? How long?

Donald Trump is finishing what G.W. Bush began. Bush forever destroyed the influence of genuine Christian patriotism in this country with his phony brand of warmongering Christianity. Now, Trump is forever destroying the influence of the Tea Party/Patriot movements in this country with his phony brand of warmongering/Police-State-building “nationalism.”

The truth is, Trump started drowning in the swamp even before he was inaugurated. Most of the people in his administration could have been picked by ANY of the other neocon Republican presidential candidates. Right now, Washington, D.C.’s neocon warmongers are gushing all over Donald Trump.

On the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) recently said that on foreign policy “I am like the happiest dude in America right now. We’ve got a president and a national security team that I have been dreaming of. . . . I am all in. Keep it up, Donald.”

Ladies and gentlemen, please understand that the single issue that defines a neocon (i.e., Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, G.W. Bush) and a neolib (i.e., Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Harry Reid) is foreign policy. To the swamp creatures in Washington, D.C., everything is defined by foreign policy. Everything! These are beasts of prey. They feed on the blood and carcasses of the dead. They are enriched by war; they crave war; they promote war; they create war.

Donald Trump ran on the coattails of Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul. Most of what Trump trumpeted (no pun intended) was proclaimed and popularized by Buchanan and Paul. They failed to win the White House. Trump succeeded. Do you really think Pat or Ron would have filled their administrations with globalists, billionaires, international bankers, and CFR members? Do you really think Pat or Ron would have turned control of the White House over to two ultra-liberal globalist Zionists such as Jared and Ivanka Kushner? Do you really think Pat or Ron would have launched 59 Tomahawk missiles on a sovereign nation without our country being attacked or consent from Congress? Do you really think Pat or Ron would take America to the precipice of World War III before finishing their first 100 days in office? Hell no!

Donald Trump ran on Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul’s platform of constitutional populism, but he didn’t really believe it. Like G.W. Bush betrayed the Christians who elected him, Donald Trump has betrayed the constitutionalists who elected him. And this time the fallout will be fatal–especially if, as it appears, Trump takes America into another war–or even nuclear war.

No one will ever believe the campaign rhetoric of constitutionalism and populism again. Trump has poisoned the pot. The Democrat Party is plunging further and further into radicalism, extremism, and socialism. But four years from now, people will embrace the radical leftist agenda of the Democrats over the phony constitutionalist agenda of Donald Trump. Then, watch out! Katy bar the door!

Face it: G.W. Bush gave us Barack Obama, and Donald Trump may give us…the antichrist.

From this point onward, freedomists need to “get religion.” I mean they need a revelation. They need to come to the disconcerting decision that there is NO HOPE in Washington, D.C.

There is only one course of action for freedomists: secession. The only other alternative is slavery.

And people need to understand that the spirit of secession is sweeping the globe. Currently, there are 42 separatist movements underway in Africa; 68 in Asia; 107 in Europe; 16 in North America; 18 in Oceania; and 9 in South America. That’s a total of 260 active separatist movements going on RIGHT NOW.

During the past few years, secession movements among states of the United States include Alaska (2006, 2017); California (2010, 2015 – 2017); Florida (2015); Georgia (2009); Hawaii (2011, 2017); Montana (2008); New Hampshire (2012, 2017); Oregon (2016); South Carolina (2010); Texas (late 1990s, 2009, 2017) and Vermont (2003, 2005 – 2007, 2017). This does not include the secession movement currently underway among the Lakota Indians in Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

The answer has NEVER rested in Washington, D.C. It has always been a fatal mistake for people to expect an answer from Washington, D.C. The answer has always rested with “We the People.” Always! History proves that the bigger central governments become, the more tyrannical they become.

And the fact is, the United States is much too large and too populous to maintain liberty. Increasing population has taken government further and further away from the People. Politically speaking, the only thing that has thwarted Washington, D.C.’s total takeover of the states is the Electoral College system. But a rancid public education system, a cowardly pulpit, a corrupt news media, and runaway political correctness have brought liberty to the brink of destruction. Only the states can recapture the spirit of liberty–ONLY THE STATES! But which states is the sixty-four million dollar question. (My money’s on the Rocky Mountain states–which is one of many reasons why I was led to move here.)

At this moment, there doesn’t appear to be a single State with the understanding to recognize that a complete separation from the swamp creatures in Washington, D.C., is the only way to preserve liberty. YET! The swamp creatures have been bribing the states with federal tax dollars for the better part of a century. Many individuals have been living on the dole of the swamp creatures for much of their lives. Patriotic men and women who served in the U.S. armed forces find it difficult to believe that the Constitution that they took an oath to protect and defend doesn’t exist in Washington, D.C. But ladies and gentlemen, never mistake the love of liberty with devotion to government. They are NOT the same thing.

Remember these words? “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends [liberty], it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government. . . .” That’s from our Declaration of Independence, of course.

The Pat Buchanan Brigade, the Ron Paul Tea Party Revolution, God-fearing libertarians (there is NO liberty without God), and anti-war third parties need to start preparing NOW to elect State governors, legislators, attorney generals, mayors, councilmen, commissioners, sheriffs, etc., that love liberty enough to be willing to separate from the swamp creatures in Washington, D.C., that are swallowing us all alive.

Donald Trump is not going to save us. The Congress in DC is not going to save us. The Supreme Court is not going to save us. The Republican Party is not going to save us. The ONLY remedy we have is the same one that our Founding Fathers had: separation from a carnivorous, insatiable central government that is eating our liberties like a lion devours lambs.

If we start NOW, there still might be time. But trusting Donald Trump and Washington, D.C., for the next four years is a recipe for ruin.

P.S. As most readers know, after I began promoting Michael Hoffman’s outstanding book, “Judaism’s Strange Gods,” the supply quickly sold out. I am happy to report that we have just received a new shipment of this phenomenal book, and it is available for purchase NOW.

The Price of Al Gore’s Global Warming Hoax ‘Fix’ is UGE!

The title says it, other than Al Gore, TURD.

al-gore

From constitution.com dated 4/25/2017 by Andrew West entitled, “Al Gore Puts A Price Tag on Global Warming Hoax “Fix”, And It Is ENORMOUS

For some strange reason, liberal climate change hoaxers are continuing to put a microphone or a camera in front of former Vice President Al Gore.

As the most recognizable face in the litany of lunatic leftists who foolishly subscribe to the phony narrative behind the global warming hoax, Gore has been an integral part of developing the culture of ignorance that permeates the entire movement.

Gore’s interest in the subject began as a business venture; a fact that many democrats would like us all to forget.  The former Vice President first established a “carbon credits” company in which he would prey on the guilt of entitled Americans who believed that the way in which they lived their lives was further enhancing their carbon footprint – a term that had barely been used previous to Gore’s involvement in the hoax.  Then, after Al Gore’s company was ready to receive customers, and their money, the former politician released his now-infamous propaganda film “An Inconvenient Truth”.  The film was a box office success, riding the leftist wave that was permeating the nation at the time, and it propelled Gore’s carbon credits company into a massive windfall of Americans’ guilt-money.

Now, after releasing a second film to a much more skeptical audience, Gore is looking to put a price tag on the end of “global warming” the way a snake oil salesman puts a price on the wares that he is peddling.

“A group of executives who want to fight global warming has published a new report calling for countries to spend up to $600 billion a year over the next two decades to boost green energy deployment and energy efficiency equipment.

“The Energy Transitions Commission’s (ETC) report claims ‘additional investments of around $300-$600 billion per annum do not pose a major macroeconomic challenge,’ which they say will help the world meet the goals laid out in the Paris agreement.

“ETC is made up of energy executives, activist leaders and investment bankers, including former Vice President Al Gore, who would no doubt get a piece of the trillions of dollars they are calling for.

“ETC’s goal is to ‘accelerate change towards low-carbon energy systems that enable robust economic development’ and limit global warming. ETC’s report comes out as the Trump administration considers whether or not to stay party to the Paris agreement, which went into effect in 2016.”

The global warming charade may be on its death bed, but Gore seems hellbent on milking the cultural phenomenon for all its worth before its inevitable end.  With republican Donald Trump in the White House, and with conservatives making up a majority of both houses of Congress, it could prove rather difficult for the profiteering “activist” to accomplish any project that requires such a leftist leap of faith.

As with all trendy pseudoscience, the global warming hoax will likely go the way of spiritualism and Uri Geller’s bending-spoon tricks.

Sean ‘Sarin’ Spicer: TURD!

This is coming from the Trump mouth piece?  This shows how far Trump has gone over to the dark side.  The U.S. is in trouble IMHO.  This crap is NOT what Trump was elected to do, i.e., be the world’s policeman.  Now Assad created worse atrocities than Hitler?  Oh, maybe because Hitler just killed Jews.  BTW, chemical weapons were surely used in WWI.  Additionally, “During World War II, the European theater did not see any use of these weapons. However, there was extensive usage by Japanese forces in China and by Italian forces in Assyria. Furthermore, all major powers, including the US, UK, Germany, and the Soviet Union developed biological and chemical weapons programs leading up to and during the war as a deterrent.”  Oh, and a few ‘Allah Akbars’ are worth less than the millions of jews of WW II?  Sarin Sean, TURD!

sarin-sean

From wsj.com on 4/11/2017 by Carol E. Lee entitled, “Sean Spicer Argues Assad’s Chemical Weapons Atrocities Were Worse Than Hitler’s: White House spokesman says Hitler ‘didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons’“:

The White House’s top spokesman on Tuesday argued that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has committed atrocities worse than Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, saying even the man whose genocidal regime instigated a world war and killed millions of people didn’t use chemical weapons.

“We didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II,” press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters. “You had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.”

Mr. Spicer was referring to the suspected chemical attack in Syria on April 4 that killed at least 85 people. The U.S. has concluded the Syrian military used banned sarin gas in the assault, and the U.S. military launched nearly 60 Tomahawk cruise missiles against a Syrian air base Friday.

Asked later if he wanted to clarify his statement, given that Hitler and the German Nazi state killed millions of European Jews in gas chambers, Mr. Spicer said, “he was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing.”

“He brought them into the Holocaust center,” Mr. Spicer said, in an apparent reference to the death camps where millions, including most of Germany’s Jewish population, were killed.

Mr. Assad, Mr. Spicer said, used chemical weapons “in towns, dropped them down—into the middle of towns.”

Soon after the end of Tuesday’s news briefing, Mr. Spicer released another statement further clarifying his earlier remarks.

“In no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust,” he wrote. “I was trying to draw a distinction of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on population centers. Any attack on innocent people is reprehensible and inexcusable.”

Later Tuesday, a second Trump administration official cited World War II to emphasize the singular horror of the Syrian chemical weapons attack and justify the U.S. military response.

“Even in World War II, chemical weapons were not used on battlefields, even in the Korean War they were not used on battlefields,” Defense Secretary James Mattis told reporters at the Pentagon.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) called on Mr. Trump to fire Mr. Spicer and “immediately disavow” his statements.

“While Jewish families across America celebrate Passover, the chief spokesman of this White House is downplaying the horror of the Holocaust,” she said in a statement.

Steven Goldstein, executive director of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, called on President Donald Trump to fire Mr. Spicer over his comments.

Mr. Goldstein said in a statement that Mr. Spicer’s remarks amounted to denying the Holocaust. “Spicer’s statement is the most evil slur upon a group of people we have ever heard from a White House press secretary,” Mr. Goldstein said.

Mr. Goldstein has in the past criticized the Trump White House for distributing a Holocaust remembrance statement that didn’t mention Jews and has argued Mr. Trump didn’t move quickly enough to condemn anti-Semitic threats and vandalism in cities across the country.

After Trump’s Attack on Syria, What Comes Next?

Exactly!

From ronpaulinstitute.com dated 4/10/2017 by Ron Paul entitled, “After Trump’s Syria Attack, What Comes Next?

ron-paul

Thursday’s US missile attack on Syria must represent the quickest foreign policy U-turn in history. Less than a week after the White House gave Assad permission to stay on as president of his own country, President Trump decided that the US had to attack Syria and demand Assad’s ouster after a chemical attack earlier in the week. Trump blamed Assad for the attack, stated that “something’s going to happen” in retaliation, and less than two days later he launched a volley of 59 Tomahawk missiles (at a cost of $1.5 million each) onto a military airfield near where the chemical attack took place.

President Trump said it is in the “vital national security interest of the United States” to attack Syria over the use of poison gas. That is nonsense. Even if what Trump claims about the gas attack is true – and we’ve seen no evidence that it is – there is nothing about an isolated incident of inhuman cruelty thousands of miles from our borders that is in our “vital national security interest.” Even if Assad gassed his own people last week it hardly means he will launch chemical attacks on the United States even if he had the ability, which he does not.

From the moment the chemical attack was blamed on Assad, however, I expressed my doubts about the claims. It simply makes no sense for Assad to attack civilians with a chemical weapon just as he is winning his war against ISIS and al-Qaeda and has been told by the US that it no longer seeks regime change. On the verge of victory, he commits a suicidal act to no strategic or tactical military advantage? More likely the gas attack was a false flag by the rebels — or perhaps even by our CIA — as a last ditch effort to forestall a rebel defeat in the six year war.

Would the neocons and the mainstream media lie to us about what happened last week in Syria? Of course they would. They lied us into attacking Iraq, they lied us into attacking Gaddafi, they lied us into seeking regime change in Syria in the first place. We should always assume they are lying.

Who benefits from the US attack on Syria? ISIS, which immediately after the attack began a ground offensive. Does President Trump really want the US to act as ISIS’s air force?

The gas attack, which took some 70 civilian lives, was horrible and must be condemned. But we must also remember that US bombs in Syria have killed hundreds of civilians. Just recently, US bombs killed 300 Iraqi civilians in one strike! Does it really make a difference if you are killed by poison gas or by a US missile?

What’s next for President Trump in Syria? Russia has not backed down from its claim that the poison gas leaked as a result of a conventional Syrian bomb on an ISIS chemical weapons factory. Moscow claims it is determined to defend its ally, Syria. Will Trump unilaterally declare a no fly zone in parts of Syria and attempt to prevent Russian air traffic? Some suggest this is his next move. It is one that carries a great danger of igniting World War Three.

Donald Trump’s attack on Syria was clearly illegal. However, Congress shows no interest in reining in this out-of-control president. We should fear any US escalation and must demand that our Representatives prohibit it. If there ever was a time to flood the Capitol Hill switchboard demanding an end to US military action in Syria, it is now!

TURD McCain: I Don’t Pay Attention to Rand Paul

McCain does not pay attention to Rand Paul?  Right.  That is why you two have been trading blows for years.  McCain, TURD, can you EVER tell the truth?

From breitbart.com dated 4/7/2017 by Pam Key entitled, “McCain: I Don’t Pay Attention to Rand Paul, ‘He Doesn’t Have Any Real Influence’ in the Senate”:

Friday on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” while discussing Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) calling the U.S. missile strikes in Syria unconstitutional, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said he does not “pay any attention” to what Paul says because, “He doesn’t have any real influence in the United States Senate.”

McCain said, “I don’t really react to Senator Paul. We’re just too different, and he doesn’t have any real influence in the United States Senate.”

He continued, “I don’t pay any attention, frankly, to what Senator Paul says.”

“He’s wrong,” McCain added, on “every other issue that I know of that has to do with national security.”

Trump Justifies Bombing Syria Due to 25 Children Gassed While U.S. Kills 5,650 Babies A DAY!

... | Children Among Victims Of Suspected Chlorine Gas Attack In Aleppo

Damn you Trump!  What the hell are you thinking bombing Syria yesterday?  OK, so you and your ‘advisers’ managed to minimize the loss of Syrian life and blow up a few planes but what about your previous utterance: the US should not be the world’s policeman?

If the gas attack on Syrian citizens wasn’t a false flag (we sure don’t know) and if indeed there were women, children and men killed in the attack where do you get off bombing a sovereign country with which we are not at war?  Stop listening to the Globalist/Neo-Cons and TURDs like McCain, Graham, etc.

You bemoan the 25 Syrian children killed and that then is the rationale to spend millions of our tax dollars blowing up stuff and in extension and fact endangering all of humanity in a world war, over 25 children, really??  How many children are there in the world who would be vaporized in a nuclear exchange?  Damn moron.

‘My attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed very much,’ Trump declared, suggesting with the statement that he may be reconsidering his directive to US diplomats to take their focus off removing Bashar al-Assad from power.
The ‘horrible, horrible’ sarin gas attack that killed small children and ‘beautiful babies’ had a ‘big impact’ on the president, who declared Wednesday that the attack ‘crossed a lot of lines.’
‘When you kill innocent children, innocent babies…with a chemical gas that is so lethal…that crosses many, many lines. Beyond a red line,’ Trump said, making reference to Barack Obama’s infamous 2012 threat to Assad.

Trump, has it ever ‘crossed’ your pea brain that, alone, in the US, we kill in the neighborhood of 5,650 BABIES A DAMN DAY!  When are you going to start bombing Planned Parenthood?

Get your shit together, TURD!

Jean-Claude Juncker Has No Junk, Just a TURD

LOL…OK, JJ ya damn little twerp.  Let’s see what happens to the EU when the US pulls out of NATO.  Hey Putin, have Juncker over for breakfast.  That said, Putin would get tired of you freeloaders soon enough.  Obnoxious little TURD.

juncker

From express.co.uk dated 03/30/2017 by Nick Gutteridge entitled, “EU could BREAK UP the US: Juncker in jaw-dropping threat to Trump over support for Brexit

EUROPEAN Union boss Jean-Claude Juncker this afternoon issued a jaw-dropping threat to the United States, saying he could campaign to break up the country in revenge for Donald Trump’s supportive comments about Brexit.

In an extraordinary speech the EU Commission president said he would push for Ohio and Texas to split from the rest of America if the Republican president does not change his tune and become more supportive of the EU.

The remarks are diplomatic dynamite at a time when relations between Washington and Brussels are already strained over Europe’s meagre contributions to NATO and the US leader’s open preference for dealing with national governments.

They are by far the most outspoken intervention any senior EU figure has made about Mr Trump and are likely to dismay some European leaders who were hoping to seek a policy of rapprochement with their most important ally.

Speaking at the centre-right European People Party’s (EPP) annual conference in Malta this afternoon, the EU Commission boss did not hold back in his disdain for the White House chief’s eurosceptic views.

He said: “Brexit isn’t the end. A lot of people would like it that way, even people on another continent where the newly elected US President was happy that the Brexit was taking place and has asked other countries to do the same.

“If he goes on like that I am going to promote the independence of Ohio and Austin, Texas in the US.”

Mr Juncker’s comments did not appear to be made in jest and were delivered in a serious tone, although one journalist did report some “chuckles” in the audience and hinted the EU boss may have been joking. The remarks came in the middle of an angry speech in which the top eurocrat railed widely against critics of the EU Commission.

They will be seen as totally inexplicable at a time when EU-US relations appeared to be on the mend, with Vice-President Mike Pence having completed a largely successful trip to Brussels and the commander-in-chief himself significantly softening his tone towards the EU project.

Mr Juncker did not criticise Britain at all during his speech, and only made reference to Brexit in relation to Mr Trump and the opportunities it presents for Europe to reform itself.

He told the audience in Malta: “Brexit isn’t the end of everything. We must consider it to be a new beginning, something that is stronger, something that is better.”

Speaking before him, EU Council president Donald Tusk was less reserved in his remarks about the UK vote as he tore into the populist politics which led to Brexit.

The Polish eurocrat said the argument over sovereignty – epitomised by the Vote Leave slogan ‘take back control’ – was “a view that is both foolish and dangerous” and that the EU guaranteed countries’ strength of the world stage.

He also accused populist politicians, such as the Netherlands’ Geert Wilders and France’s Marine Le Pen, of promoting “organised hatred” with their views on immigration.

However his conservative colleague Antonio Tajani, the EU Parliament president, received a rapturous ovation as he launched an impassioned defence of Europe’s “Christian values”.

In a series of thinly veiled comments about immigration, a major political issue in his homeland and Malta, the Italian official said Europe should do more to defend its historic identity.

He said: “We shouldn’t be ashamed of saying we’re Christian. We’re Christian, it is our history.

“If we leave our identity we will have in Europe all identities but not European identities. For this we need to strengthen our identity.

“It is impossible to win without identity, without our values. Of course we are different, many languages, many ideas, but we are united on the values and this is the most important content.”
